It took just a few hours for KFC’s plant-based Beyond Fried Chicken to sell out in Atlanta, where the faux chicken debuted Tuesday.
In a statement, KFC executives said they sold more Beyond Fried Chicken in five hours than popcorn chicken in a week.
According to social media posts, customers starting lining up at 8 a.m. and the lines wrapped around the building multiple times at certain points.
The Atlanta restaurant has been the only one in the country to offer the Beyond Fried Chicken.
