Molson Coors Marks 80 Years of Barley Grower Partnerships

Harvest season marks another year of collaboration between the brewer and barley growers.

CENTER, Colo. (RFD News) — Western Ag Network recently visited Molson Coors’ Colorado Barley Field Day, where the company celebrated the 80th anniversary of its barley program as harvest gets underway across parts of the West.

Company leaders said the program was created to secure a reliable supply of premium malting barley while building direct relationships with growers.

Molson Coors says those partnerships remain the foundation of its brewing process, with quality barley playing a key role in producing its beer brands.

Beer is the nation’s largest value-added market for U.S. barley.
