During the fifth session of the 95th National FFA Convention & Expo, the Lumberton FFA Chapter of North Carolina was named the 2022 Premier Chapter: Building Communities.

The National Chapter Award program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters that actively implement the organization’s mission and strategies.

Members used funds from a bake sale to make a positive difference for local foster families. They organized two bake sales in the community, raising more than $3,000. They then used those funds to buy 16 bikes along with helmets and accessories and donated them to foster families in the area.
