The famous wild horses and cows on North Carolina’s Cedar Island were not harmed by Hurricane Isaias, according to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.

“Our neighbors to the south, north, and west got hit a bit harder by the tornadoes that developed and our thoughts are with them as they begin the process of cleaning up,” the Wild Horse Fund wrote on Facebook. “Hurricane season has just begun so while we will not let our guard down, we are grateful that this one didn’t end up being too bad for us.”

The wild animals on Cedar Island have gained fame before. In November, three cows turned up back on the island after swimming for miles to escape Hurricane Dorian. One of those cows was pregnant at the time and gave birth in February.
