WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD-TV) — A shakeup in Minnesota could leave an opening on the Senate Agriculture Committee. Calls are growing for Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-MN, to run for governor of her state, now that Gov. Tim Walz has announced he will not seek reelection.
Reuters reports Klobuchar is considering a bid, with several Democrats urging her to run.
Klobuchar became the top-ranking Democrat on the Senate Agriculture Committee in 2024 and has served on the panel since 2007.
RFD TV News reached out to Sen. Klobuchar’s office for comment, but has not yet received a response.
