Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is talking about the challenges facing rural America.

She visited the RFD-TV studios Friday for an appearance on Cow Guy Close. Last year, Sen. Blackburn introduced legislation aimed at expanding broadband access for Rural America.
Since then, billions of dollars have been allocated to not only bringing high-speed internet to rural Tennessee but across the nation.

She says that she understands rural Americans are facing a number of challenges right now and believes it is important that government leaders focus on energy independence to not only alleviate these issues for rural Americans but to also make America a global leader in energy.
