BERTHOLD, N.D. (RFD News) — The annual Spring Wheat Tour continued as participants scouted fields across North Dakota to estimate yields and monitor potential crop pressures.
Wheat Quality Council Executive Director Dr. Sean Finnie joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report with an update from the road.
In his conversation with RFD News, Finney recapped the tour’s first day, when scouts made 88 stops and estimated an average yield of 46 bushels per acre.
He said the crop is meeting expectations despite dry conditions in some areas, with little disease pressure reported so far.
