Texas gets its first confirmed case of HPAI

High path avian flu has now made its way to the Lone Star State. It was found in a commercial flock.

Texas officials have quarantined the affected areas, and the birds have been culled and will not enter the food chain.

This is the state’s first confirmed case of the virus.
