Dry days in the Midwest are improving the topsoil moisture

Dry weather is certainly an issue for many as drought conditions continue for a lot of the country, but there are some spots where a lack of rainy days is welcome and helps to improve the topsoil.

USDA Meteorologist Brad Rippey shares a positive update.

“We actually saw some of the warmth and dry weather moving into previously wet of the Midwest. It resulted in quite a bit of net dry, which was good news for the planting progress.”

The topsoil in the Rockies, Southwest and much of the Great Plains desperately need a drink of water.
