DES MOINES, IOWA (RFD NEWS) — Efforts are underway to reposition pork for a new generation with the “Taste What Pork Can Do” campaign. The initiative is focused on meeting consumer needs rather than highlighting industry features, aiming to drive long-term demand.

Jose de Jesus, with the National Pork Board, joined us on Wednesday’s Market Day Report to discuss the campaign and its goals.

In his interview with RFD NEWS, de Jesus provided background on the consumer brand campaign, noting its focus on younger generations, including Gen Z and Gen Y. He explained how the supply chain is involved and detailed the campaign’s launch timeline as well as the feedback received to date.

De Jesus also highlighted the priorities for the campaign in 2026 and discussed efforts to sustain demand for pork well into the future.
