Team 7Brew’s Zach Birge Preps for the MLF Team Series Summit Cup

The Summit Cup is the fourth and final event in the Major League Fishing Team Series. Catch the action live on RFD-TV, starting on Sunday, November 16.

SHREVEPORT, LA. (RFD-TV) — Twelve teams are set to compete head-to-head with the Major League Fishing Team Series Summit Cup on the line. The Summit Cup will feature all fishable waters within 60 miles of Shreveport, meaning anglers take everything with them—gear, bait, and strategy.

As we gear up for the big event, we’re checking in with the anglers to hear how they’re preparing. Bass Pro Angler Zack Birge of Oklahoma joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report to share a look ahead.

Birge has established himself as one of the best “big game” players in professional bass fishing. In his interview with RFD-TV News, he shared background on his time with Major League Fishing and some of his career highlights.

Birge is teaming up with Keith Poche as part of Team 7Brew Coffee. The two have fished many of the same tournaments, and Poche’s Louisiana roots could bring valuable insight into the local waters.

Team Series events require collaboration and adaptability, and Birge shared how they work together to get the job done under pressure. Off the water, Birge is also an avid waterfowl and turkey hunter, bringing that same passion for the outdoors into every competition.

When asked what he is most looking forward to, Birge said it is all about the challenge, the camaraderie, and the thrill of championship fishing.
