The Biden Administration has launched a partnership between the USDA and EPA to help rural areas without wastewater infrastructure.
The Closing America’s Wastewater Access Gap Community Initiative will be piloted in 11 communities across the country where residents lack basic and essential wastewater management. Both agencies will help the underserved communities with resources and federal funding opportunities.
More than two million people in the U.S. lack basic running water and indoor plumbing.
