The next WASDE report will be out on Monday and the Ag Statistics Service will release its new production estimates for crops like corn and soybeans.
Mark Jekanowski with the USDA Outlook Board says these will be the first estimates based on expert, in-person evaluations of thousands of fields.
“Right now, as a matter of fact, they’re out in the fields taking objective yield surveys, so we will get results from those actual field plots. That’ll give us more accurate information about yields,” said Jekanowski.
Analysts will then take those estimates to create new forecasts for crop supplies, exports, prices, and more.
The report will be released Monday at 12 pm Eastern.
