U.S. goods into Mexico are at a standstill, what’s the impact on ag?

U.S. grain movement via rail into Mexico remains at a standstill at a major pass, and ag groups are warning of the potential impact.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection closed the crossings at Eagle Pass and El Paso on Monday due to an influx of migrants. The National Grain and Feed Association, as well as the North American Export Grain Association, are calling for Border Patrol to reopen them immediately.

When asked for an update, CBP told AgriPulse it had no news to report, and it would continue to prioritize border security in response to the evolving situation.
