U.S. Pork shipments to China hit record low

U.S. pork export sales to China reached a record low last week, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

In its weekly report, the USDA revealed cancellations by Chinese buyers pushed the total export sales to China to negative 45,222 tons. The previous record low was negative 17,614 tons in January of 2013.

According to Reuters, China’s top container points are loosening the backlog of cargoes on their docks as things slowly return to normal amid in the country amid coronavirus concerns.
