Wyoming farm family finds passion saving wild horses

The family currently cares for more than 200 horses at the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary in Wyoming.

Former Wyoming FFA state officer, Jess Oldham, and his family found a passion for saving wild horses. Wind River Horse Sanctuary is a family business started in 2016 on the Oldham Ranch in Lander, Wy.

Over the years, his family and their crew, have worked with the Bureau of Land Management to care for 255 wild horses on their 1,400 acres of land.

Oldham says being able to be a voice for the horses is a rewarding feeling.

The entire Oldham family also has roots within the FFA and brings the skills and resources from their experience into the sanctuary to advocate for wild horses.
