2024 Food for Progress Priority Countries

The USDA has identified this year’s Food for Progress Priority Countries.

They include Benin, Cambodia, Madagascar, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Tunisia. The Food for Progress program helps developing countries and emerging democracies modernize and strengthen their agricultural industries.

The U.S. ag commodities donated to those countries are sold on the local market and then the profit is used to support ag, economic or infrastructure development programs. The projects last three to five years.
