NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD News) — Farmers looking to bring in some extra income could get help by turning to agritourism.
Airbnb and American Farmland Trust are offering grants of up to $10,000 to help farmers prepare for overnight guests or launch new experiences.
Funding could go toward renovating farm properties or adding activities such as apple picking, farm-to-table dinners and agricultural workshops.
The groups say agritourism can provide another source of income as farmers deal with high costs, weather risks and volatile markets.
