LINCOLN, Neb. (RFD News) — Hands-on learning opportunities are helping University of Nebraska-Lincoln agricultural communications student Maddie Weber prepare for a career in the industry.
Weber joined us on Tuesday’s Market Day Report to share her story.
In her conversation with RFD News, Weber said she grew up on a corn and soybean farm in Missouri and knew she wanted to work in agriculture before finding agricultural communications.
Since then, she has interned with the Rural Radio Network and joined Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. Weber was also named the organization’s 2026 Distinguished Member of the Year and selected as vice president of its national officer team.
She said those experiences have helped her put what she learns in the classroom into practice and become a stronger communicator.
