Warner Robins, Ga. (Farm Monitor) — Agriculture education is taking root at Feagin Mill Middle School, where students are getting hands-on experience with modern farming practices.
Ag teacher and FFA advisor James Judson is using a hydroponic tower garden to introduce students to the future of agriculture. The program also includes a greenhouse and an annual plant sale that gives students a chance to showcase what they’ve learned.
School leaders say the goal is not only to teach students how food is grown, but to introduce them to the wide range of opportunities available in agriculture.
