HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam (RFD News) — Illinois soybean leaders recently traveled to Vietnam as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen trade relationships across Southeast Asia, a major export market for U.S. soybeans.
Leaders with the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) recently attended the U.S. Identity Preserved Alliance conference, where farmers connected directly with companies and stakeholders involved in specialty crop trade.
ISA says the trip provided opportunities to better understand changing market demands while helping build relationships with buyers and industry partners throughout Southeast Asia.
The organization says working alongside international partners also helps Illinois soybean producers identify innovation opportunities and remain competitive in a changing global marketplace.
ISA adds that growing livestock and seafood industries across Southeast Asia continue driving strong demand for soy-based feed products.
