Milkshakes on the Moo-ve: Pennsylvania Dairy Initiative Hits the Road for Dairy Month

The Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association joins us to share their “Milkshakes on the Moo-ve” campaign and statewide dairy outreach during National Dairy Month.

PALMYRA, Penn. (RFD NEWS) — As National Dairy Month continues, the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association is taking its celebration on the road with a statewide initiative designed to highlight dairy farming while supporting youth and community programs.

David Smith, executive director of the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association, joined us on Friday’s Market Day Report to discuss the launch of “Milkshakes on the Moo-ve,” a traveling pop-up series featuring milkshake events across the state.

In his conversation with RFD News, Smith explained that the tour’s purpose is to bring dairy directly to communities while celebrating Pennsylvania’s long-standing dairy tradition. He explained that each stop is designed to be both a consumer-friendly event and a way to spotlight the farmers behind the product.

He noted that visitors to the pop-up events can expect a hands-on, family-oriented experience centered around dairy education and sampling, with a focus on connecting consumers more closely to agriculture.

Smith emphasized that a key goal of the initiative is its support for youth and agricultural programs across the state. He said the charitable component helps invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders while strengthening rural communities.

He also highlighted the popularity of Pennsylvania Farm Show milkshakes, calling them a longstanding favorite that continues to draw strong consumer interest year after year.

Smith encouraged viewers to follow the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association for tour stop locations and updates throughout National Dairy Month.
