Pennsylvania is boosting its State Emergency Preparedness Fund, and much of the new money is going to help operations impacted by Avian Influenza.
The state’s poultry industry is now getting $25 million to give to farmers unable to get new flocks due to their location in a controlled zone. HPAI infected 4.2 million birds on 17 farmers in the state. They increased their overall ag spending by 30 percent.
