“Pork For Patriots” Delivers 37,000 Pounds of Pork to Iowa’s Veteran Community

Pork producers are making Veterans Day a little brighter for Iowa’s military families.

IOWA (RFD-TV)Pork producers are making the holidays a little brighter for Iowa’s military families.

“Pork for Patriots” is back for its third year, sending pork loins and other items to hundreds of groups, including American Legion and VFW posts, ahead of Veterans Day.

Each kit contains enough food to serve nearly a thousand people. The program is made possible by the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and has shipped a total of 37,000 pounds of pork loin this year.
