SIESTA KEY, FLA. (Market Day Report Weekend) — After a season filled with tough decisions, heartfelt conversations, and a glimpse into life on the farm, one couple from this season of Farmer Wants a Wife is sharing an update on their journey after the cameras stopped rolling.
Braden Pridemore and Casey Riemer joined us for Market Day Report Weekend to discuss their journey since filming wrapped and how their relationship has continued to grow following the show.
In their conversation with RFD News anchor Eliza Petry, the couple said that maintaining a long-distance relationship between Central Illinois and Nashville has been easier than expected, noting they have made a point of spending time together regularly since production ended.
Both Braden and Casey reflected on what surprised them most about the experience. Casey said she did not expect to meet someone like Braden and was also introduced to farm life for the first time through the show. Braden said he entered the process with few expectations but was ultimately surprised to find a meaningful connection.
Braden discussed what it means to represent agriculture on national television, saying the experience provided an opportunity to share the realities of farming with a broader audience. Casey also reflected on what she learned about agriculture throughout the experience, noting that she gained a greater appreciation for the long hours, hard work, and dedication required to operate a farm.
The couple also revisited conversations that resonated with viewers throughout the season regarding their future together and Braden’s commitment to his family farm. Braden explained that farming has been part of his life for generations and that continuing the family operation is deeply important to him because of the values, traditions, and opportunities it provided growing up.
Finally, Casey shared some of her favorite memories from filming, including learning new farm tasks and experiencing daily farm life firsthand.
