Rep. Bruce Westerman Visits Arkansas Farms Ahead of Midterms

The congressman met with local farmers to hear their concerns before returning to Washington.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (RFD-TV) — With Congress away from Washington ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections, U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman used the break to connect with farmers across Arkansas.

His stops included Paw Paw’s Pecans and Ralston Family Farm, along with a roundtable discussion in Pope County, according to the Arkansas Farm Bureau.

Westerman says the opportunity to hear directly from producers helps him understand their concerns and represent their interests in Congress.

Members of Congress are expected to return to Capitol Hill following the elections.
