Tennessee Couple Turns Historic Farm Into A Christmas Destination

Annabel Farms is using agritourism to help preserve farmland in Middle Tennessee.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (RFD-TV) — A Tennessee couple is putting their savings on the line to protect a century-old farm from development.

Kelly and A.D. Elrod, owners of Annabel Farms, joined us on Thursday’s Market Day Report to discuss their efforts to preserve the 75-acre property.

In their conversation with RFD-TV, the couple said they plan to support the property through Christmas tree sales and a European-style holiday market, featuring vendors and family activities.

Through their nonprofit, Save Tennessee Farmland, the Elrods hope to help other landowners preserve agricultural property using a similar model.

The Christkindlmarkt opens November 27 and runs Fridays through Sundays until December 20.
