Slovakia to halt Ukraine grain imports

Slovakia has become the third European country to halt grain imports from the Ukraine in an effort to protect domestic farmers from the influx.

Poland and Hungary have made the same decision, saying it hurts local prices and puts an economic hardship on farmers.

Poland and Romania have been protesting the move. According to the United Nations, the two countries typically import little to no grain from Ukraine. But that has dramatically changed since the war broke out.
