FORT VALLEY, Ga. (Farm Monitor) — Sweet Valley Farms is helping address food insecurity by making fresh, affordable produce more accessible to families in central Georgia.
The farm’s Harvest Barn offers produce grown on-site and from local growers, giving shoppers access to healthy food at low prices. What began with about 40 visitors a week has grown to more than 500.
Organizers say they hope the Harvest Barn becomes a place where families can shop for fresh food and feel welcomed.
