This month’s CPI shows inflation is still sticky

Inflation is ticking back up, according to the latest Consumer Price Index.

The January numbers show prices are up half a percent, right where analysts were expecting. However, prices year-over-year dropped to 6.4 percent, which is still higher than expectations.

The December number was revised upward to 0.1 percent, showing inflation is slowly creeping back up after months of decline.
