University of Nebraska-Lincoln Professor Matt Kreifels Honored With FFA Outstanding Achievement Award

University of Nebraska–Lincoln ag educator Matt Kreifels discusses his recent FFA Alumni award and the future of ag education.

LINCOLN, Neb. (RFD-TV) — A University of Nebraska–Lincoln professor is being recognized with the highest honor awarded by the National FFA Organization and alumni. Matt Kreifels has received the FFA’s Outstanding Achievement Award, which recognizes leadership and long-standing contributions to agricultural education. Kreifels joined us on Tuesday’s Market Day Report to reflect on the recognition and what it represents for ag education in Nebraska.

In an interview with RFD-TV News, Kreifels discussed receiving the award at the National FFA Convention and how the honor reflects broader efforts to support agricultural education across the state. He also addressed the growing demand for ag educators and shared insight into how the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is positioned to help meet that need.

Kreifels looked to the future, offering his perspective on the opportunities ahead for students entering agricultural educationand highlighting the strengths of students currently in the University’s program.
