WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD News) — A federal judge has temporarily paused part of USDA’s reorganization plan.
The administrative stay issued this week pauses deadlines tied to USDA employee reassignments through October 2. It covers several mission areas, including Farm Production and Conservation, Rural Development and the Foreign Agricultural Service.
The judge says the stay does not signal whether the lawsuit has merit, but gives him more time to review the case. The next hearing is scheduled for September 29.
