What does it take to be a true “American Cowboy?”

Saturday is National Day of the American Cowboy! The Cowboy Channel traveled down to the Fort Worth Stockyards to talk with visitors about what it truly means to be “An American Cowboy.”

The Cowboy Channel‘s Katy Lucas took to the streets of Fort Worth, Texas, to ask visitors what it means to be an American Cowboy.

RFD-TV’s own Susanne Alexander shared her personal admiration for the hard work and dedication it takes to be a true American Cowboy this Friday on Market Day Report.

“Having toured with the PRCA for eight years, and seeing cowboys compete. They are “God, Family, Country;” hardworking and loyal,” Alexander said. “There’s a Conway Twitty song, ‘Don’t Call Him A Cowboy Till You See Him Ride,’ and I’ve been fortunate to watch the best of the best compete on the dirt--and that goes for cowboys outside the arena too! We are thankful for all of the hard-working and dedicated cowboys out there. We salute you!”
