LUBBOCK, TEXAS (Market Day Report Weekend) — Cotton Fest, a West Texas music festival supporting agricultural producers, took place this past weekend and continues to grow in both size and impact.
Country music artist and High Cotton Relief Fund founder William Clark Green created the event to raise money for Texas producers impacted by drought, wildfires, and other hardships. He joined us on Market Day Report Weekend to share more about the upcoming event.
In his conversation with RFD News anchor Eliza Petry, Green discussed what inspired him to use his platform in country music to give back to the agriculture community and establish the High Cotton Relief Fund.
He also reflected on the organization’s growth since its founding in 2018 and the impact it has had in providing direct assistance to farmers and ranchers in need.
Green talked about the strong support from fellow Texas country artists and how many of them have joined the event year after year to support the mission, and shared what he hopes attendees take away from Cotton Fest and the importance of supporting agriculture through community-driven efforts like music and fundraising.
