BENTONVILLE, Ark. (RFD News) — A Northwest Arkansas greenhouse is using vertical aeroponic towers to provide fresh produce to local schools and families year-round.
Manager Grant Wilson said the Fresh Greens Project was developed to grow clean, locally produced food while maximizing space and reducing water use through its vertical growing system.
The greenhouse now supplies hundreds of pounds of lettuce to local school districts each week, where Wilson said students are eating more fresh lettuce with less going to waste.
