Dairy Month Spotlight: Illinois Century Farm Finds New Path in Direct-to-Consumer Sales

Rolling Lawns Farm has shifted from commodity markets to direct sales while keeping registered Holsteins at the heart of the operation.

Greenville, Ill. (RFD News) — As National Dairy Month continues, one Illinois dairy is showing how a family farm has adapted to a changing industry.

Rolling Lawns Farm has been raising registered Holsteins for more than 100 years. In recent years, the family has shifted its focus from commodity markets to selling dairy products directly to consumers.

The family says registered Holsteins remain at the center of the operation and have helped connect customers to the farm’s long history.
