Hero of the Day: Sheepdog Helps Clear Way for First Responders in California

A sheepdog recently stepped in to help first responders land a helicopter during an emergency in Southern California.

The Laguna Beach Police Department and the Laguna Beach Fire Department tried to clear the trail so the helicopter could land, but some goats were in the way, and that’s where he unexpected hero stepped in!

The drone video shows the dog dodging in between the herd, escorting them up the hillside away from the helicopter.

“The sheepdog stepped up and helped guide a group of goats out of the way so the units could work. That’s a good boy,” the Laguna Beach Police Department wrote in a social media post.
