It is the most wonderful time for iconic Christmas symbols, and this year, Christmas trees and poinsettia imports could reach $80 million.
USDA reports poinsettia imports totaled 2.2 million plants worth $11.5 million. Meanwhile, live tree imports reached nearly 2.8 million trees at a value of $68 million.
Import values of live trees spiked in 2020 because of COVID-19 supply chain issues, and prices have remained relatively high.
