ST. ANNE, Ill. (RFD News) — A major grain facility expansion in northern Illinois is giving farmers more capacity this harvest.
FS Grain’s St. Anne facility has expanded its rail capacity from 25 cars to more than 100, helping move more grain to markets across the United States and into Mexico.
The expansion adds 1.2 million bushels of storage, while new high-speed receiving pits are designed to get farmers back to the field faster.
The facility is also adding autonomous equipment that will handle railcar lids and inspect them, allowing employees to remain safely on the ground.
