It is getting more expensive to export ag goods.

A livestock export company official says it now costs between $800,000-$1,200,000 to send a plane to China, where it used to be $500,000. He says a $0.01 increase in fuel prices adds more than a thousand dollars to the cost.

One factor contributing to higher prices for long flights is increased difficulty refueling and changing crews because of the war in Ukraine, as no Russian companies can fly into the U.S. market.
