Gene A. Dailer was more than a dedicated farmer, as he was also a mentor, and one who believed in the next generation of agriculture. So much so, he spent a quarter century dedicated to the Illinois Farm Bureau.
As part of his final wishes, he left a gift to the IAA Foundation that will fund scholarships for students pursuing careers in agriculture.

Mr. Potato Head was first introduced in 1952. The first sets cost less than a dollar and included attachments only (hands, feet, eyes, etc.), with consumers supplying their own potatoes for the body.
