BILLINGS, MONTANA (RFD News) — High school athletes across Montana are getting added support on and off the court. A new partnership with the Montana Beef Council is bringing protein-packed refuel stations to tournaments across the state.
Montana High School Association Executive Director Brian Michelotti says the goal is to provide student athletes with quality, protein-based snacks.
“We really wanted to focus on the student athletes and the student-athletes’ well-being, and the benefits of beef,” Michelotti explains. He also says the stations have been well received by athletes and event organizers. “Student athletes can stop and refuel and add some protein. It’s just been a wonderful and well-received not only from the Montana High School Association but from our student athletes as well.”
According to Michelotti, the program began with state wrestling and basketball tournaments and has since expanded to four basketball facilities.
