Pennsylvania tallies their 17th HPAI case this month

High Pathogenic Avian Influenza continues to spread with yet another case surfacing in Pennsylvania.

500 birds were culled after the virus hit a poultry facility in the central part of the state. This marks their 17th case reported since the beginning of this month.

Just recently, state lawmakers proposed legislation that would allow USDA to allocate money during ag disasters like High Path Avian Flu to better help contain an outbreak. Nationwide, nearly 60 million birds have died since the record-breaking outbreak began over a year ago.
