Researchers: Plant-based protein sales falling over time

Retail sales of plant-based meat alternatives in the United States fell significantly in the last few weeks and dropped even more significantly in the last year.

Retail sales of plant-based meat alternatives in the United States fell 12.6 percent over the last several weeks. This is according to new data from Circana.

The number of those products sold is down nearly 20 percent on the year, with sales falling nearly seven and a half percent.
