Animal health officials now confirm they have discovered a pig with High-Path Avian Flu.
The discovery happened at a backyard farm in Oregon, and USDA’s National Lab made the confirmation this week.
Officials say five pigs and 70 birds at the facility were culled to prevent further spread. Since this was a backyard operation, it is believed there is no danger to the food supply.
