Repairs to Ukraine’s Wilmar International terminal will take months after Russian attack

Wilmar International terminal was the primary route for Ukrainian grain exports to Africa and Asia during the ongoing conflict with Russia.

Wilmar International in Ukraine confirmed it will take quite some time to repair the terminal that was hit by a recent Russian missile attack. This port serves as the primary route for Ukrainian grain exports during the war.

Wilmar does not expect this to impact their financial year. The attack destroyed containers carrying grains and other agricultural products destined for Africa and Asia.

The company says it will take six months to rebuild the oil tanks and operations would resume as soon as the appropriate permits were received. Those are expected in the coming weeks.
