Makes 4 Servings


  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 cups chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 tbs steak sauce
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 lbs crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 2 tbs mild picate sauce
  • Salt to taste


In a large frying pan, melt the margarine over a medium fire. Add the onions, green onions, bell pepper, and parsley, and cook stirring until the onions are clear. Add the wine, steak sauce, and garlic and cook for 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally. Add the crab meat, salt, and picate sauce, and stir to mix well. Reduce heat to low and cover to simmer for 30 - 45 minutes. Serve over cooked rice or pasta.
