NAFB Is Working To End Hunger In Rural America

The National Association of Farm Broadcasting is teaming up with Feeding America to put an end to hunger. It’s a problem leaders there say is growing larger across Rural America.

“The vast majority of counties with the highest rates of food insecurity in this country are rural, and I bet that I don’t have to tell that to the people that are listening for them to know it,” Feeding America CEO Claire Babineau-Fontenot says.

“Truly, they know about people in their community who are struggling to make ends meet. I hope among the people they know, they know people who work really hard. Of course, there’s some people that don’t do the right thing, but the vast majority of people that come to these food banks, are people who work, people who have at least one job, people that want the same things for their families that you want for yours, that I want for mine,” Babineau-Fontenot says.

If you’d like to pitch in, you can donate on their website. All donations are sent to food banks based on the zip code that the donation came from.
