Tennessee 4-H Camps Offer Students More Than Summer Fun

From traditional camps to specialty programs, Tennessee 4-H offers hands-on learning throughout the summer.

Nashville, Tenn. (RFD News) — Tennessee 4-H members John Hancock and Greta Anglin joined us on Monday’s Market Day Report to highlight the wide range of camps, conferences, and leadership opportunities available through the organization.

In their conversation with RFD News Anchor Suzanne Alexander, Hancock discussed Tennessee 4-H’s traditional summer camps and specialty programs focused on topics such as artificial intelligence in agriculture.

He also highlighted 4-H Roundup, where members compete in project areas and connect with fellow 4-H’ers from across the state.

Anglin says 4-H helped her develop a passion for agriculture despite not growing up on a farm.

She also shared how she recently celebrated National Dairy Month by leading an ice cream-in-a-bag activity for campers.

Both members say Tennessee 4-H provides opportunities to build leadership skills and form lifelong friendships.
