Lowering Egg Prices Act could allow broiler eggs to be sold for consumption

“All our bill would do is go back to the way things were for decades prior to the Obama-era regulation...”

Congress has introduced a bipartisan bill to boost the nation’s egg supply.

The Lowering Egg Prices Act urges the FDA to modify a policy that forces farmers to discard some 400 million eggs every year.

Congressman Dusty Johnson is co-leading the legislation and he spoke with RFD-TV’s Tammi Arender on the impact to the broiler industry, how the industry is coping with prices, and USDA’s HPAI strategy.
